残暑お見舞い申し上げます。
ＲＬで、母が病気で入院し、ＳＬはかなり制限され、あたらしい賞品制作が進みませんでしたが、ようやくできましたので、本日より、お渡しできます。

店頭での「配布」は　JOKE　HUDです。　音声ファイルは、FREEで配布されている「可愛いこども」のわらい声のファイルや拍手などです。　INVENTORYのなかに持っていても、探してさっとつかわなかったりするファイルも、このようにHUDに入れると使いやすいと思われます。

Hi How are you getting along? At long last I have prepared a gift for the coming month of September.
The item I have created ｉｓ a simple HUD titled JOKE HUD like this;





The sounds I prepared have come from some of the free items distributed somewhere in secondlife but these sound
files are never used when you have to find out where you have kept them in your inventory. If collected like in this HUD,perhaps you can use some of them from time to time.

The next item is Voice Hud of Japanese greetings which you will find convenient when you converse in Japanese.

Hi How are you getting along these hot summer days? I hope all of you will be very fine and vigorous!
These few days it was scorching hot, and I guess some of you must have almost been burnt to death because of the highest temperature, but in spite of this weather I hope you will take pains to pick out some of the best DrLife skins and hair items, and will make yourself more and more beautiful today!

As I promised each of you at the beginning of this month that I would experiment with another combination of DrLife skin and hair items, here I am coming out with another example!

Today's experiment consists of Dr.Life's skin Qiao-Tan and Hair Style Amely ( All Color).The shape I am wearing is Meimei that we have begun to sell this month, which costs L$450 Linden dollars. This may sound expensive to you but if you consider that it is modifiable and copiable, this price will turn out to be reasonable.
Also I have clothed myself with Japanese kimono/ Furisode, a kind of kimono worn by unmarried women in Japan.
(Strange to say, Japanese kimonos were originally the dresses worn by the court ladies of China during the Tang　Dynasty.1000 years ago, but they are now extinct in China.)

You may find in the pictures below that the　DrLife's skin and hair style perfectly match Japanese kimono and　they leave nothing to be desired. Also any color of the hair does match this skin and kimono clothnig as well!

Texture　FileのDownloadについて

先日、このBLOGでTexture Fileは、Download出来ない」とクリエイターの方に、苦情を申し上げたのですが、この件について：

＊Texture　Fileは,Inventoryに保存されたものを「開く」

＊開いた状態で、画面上部の「ファイル」－－「テックスチャーを別名で保存」で、ＰＣにDownloadできる」という教示を受けました。

＊ただ、この際DownloadできるのはFULL　PERMのものでないとできないようです。


これについては、私も知らなかったし、わたしの先輩も知りませんでした。
また一つ、ＳＬ知識が増えて、一歩向上できたと思います。

薫（＝かおる）は、いままで、上海、香港、ハルピン、北京、マカオなど、合計すると10回くらいは、中国旅行し、ちょとした中国語会話はできますが、このたび、DrLifeの経営者は、中華人民共和国の北京（＝Beijing)の人たちであり、いままで学習したことのある中国語を再復習している次第です。

As for Kaoru myself, I have so far travelled in China about ten times, visiting Shanghai, Hong Kong, Harbin, Beijing, and Macao. And I can speak Chinese a little. As I have begun to make business transactions with the managers
and/or the founder of DrLife、and as I have learned that they live in Beijing, capital of People's Republic of China,
I am determined to re-study the Chinese language again even though I studied it a little bit in my college days.

＊中国を旅行して「筆談」で意思の疎通をすることは、簡単であると思えますが、これは、簡体字の関係ですこし無理があるようです。

It appears to everyone that it must be easy to communicate with Chinese people by writing on a piece of paper what you would like to say in Kanji, Chinese characters, but in reality it is not as easy as it sounds.　The barrier that lies
between us and Chinese people is the different kinds of simplified Chinese characters/Kanji.


いくつか例を挙げると：For instance;

学习＝学習＝xuexi

你＝あなた＝ni

您=あなた様＝nin

日本語にない字があったり、省略し方が違ったりです。
They have different kinds of simplified letters and some characters are not found in Japanese.


＊しかし、使用している文字はほぼ同じであり、60％くらいは共通だから、すこし学習する気があれば、学習しやすいことばですよねー。　山＝山だし、川＝川だし、意味を調べるために字引を引く必要もない。
However, about sixty percent of the Chinese characters are being used both in China and in Japan quite in the same way, and you can easily understand what each Chinese character means, such as mountain, river, and you do not have to confer　your Chinese-Japanese dictionary to confirm the meaning of such word.
Just look at the following words, characters are the same,and only differences exist in their pronunciations.

東南西北＝東南西北同じ、でも読み方は＝dong、nan、xi、bei

北京＝beijing　東京＝dongjing　南京＝nanjing　

西瓜＝スイカ=xigua
南瓜＝ナンキン＝nangua


では、今日は簡単な中国語会話です。
Now here are some expressions in Chinese conversation.

My Struggle : How to Install A Multi-Vendor for Selling Shapes
「Multi-Vendorの設置についての苦労話」

カオルです。今夜は、Multi-Vendorの設置についての私の苦労話を聞いてね！
Hello!　My name is Kaoru, and I'm going to talk about my struggle to install a MULTI-VENDOR in Secondlife today.

＊secondlifeにおいては、RLからSLへはL$10を出せばUPLOADはできるのだが、SLのBrowserを用いてSLの世界IN　WORLDから、RLの世界にDOWNLOADできるのは、SnapshotとMailくらいで、ほかのものはDOWNLOADできないのに、Multi-Vendorのcreatorは、その取扱い説明書に、textureをPCにdownloadして、画像ソフトを用いて、画像を、一個一個の枠に貼り付けてから、それをUPLOADしてから、VendorのContents（内容）に入れなさい」と書いている。

＊In Secondlife you can upload such files as picture, sound, and gesture files easily enough by paying L$10 Linden dollars for each file,whereas you cannot download any files from SL World or INWORLD　to Real World except for Snapshots and/or Mails. In spiｔe of this fact, an instruction manual distributed　by the creator of the multi-vendor I had bought says that you should download the texture shown in her　notecard into your computer, and that you should edit the texture pasting each picture of yours onto　small frames of the texture,and that you should upload the completed texture into your SL inventory　and then drag and drop the texture into the contents of your vendor.

＊一般にPCの専門家は、自分がわかっていることは、他の人も分かっているとおもうのであろうか？
Do computer experts believe that everybody knows and understands all that they know?
＊この2年間SLをやってきて、SLからTEXTUREを持ち物からDOWNLOADできないことは、知っている。だから、仕方がないので、

＊I have been playing this game of Secondlife for the past two years, and I know well that in SL　you cannot dowload any textures from Secondlife. As a result, I have managed to do this job as follows:
1）画面コピーして、PCに付属する「ペイント」の画面に張り付けた。
2）必要部分を切り抜いて、INDEXのファイル名で保存した。
3）このファイルを、自分の好きな『お絵かきソフト」で読み込んだ。
4）もとのファイルと同じに1024ｘ1024のサイズに修正。
5）9個ある枠に280ｘ280に縮小した『商品」の写真を貼り付けた。
6）これに適当なファイル名をつけて、SLにUPLOAD。
7）「持ち物」からこのTEXTURE　FILEをVendorのContenｔｓ内に、DRAG　＆　Dropした。
8）Item　Listに、商品名と値段を書き込んで、保存した。

以上で、作業は終了したのだけれど、これだけの記述を、「このファイルをDOWNLOADします」だけでかたずけるのは、あまりにもUSERのことを考えていないのではないだろうか？
わたしの場合には、周囲にPCに詳しい良い友達がいたので、いろいろと助言やヒントをくれたので、このむずかしい作業をなんとかできたけれど、そういう友達がいないひとは、こういった説明では、どうしていいのかが分からないのじゃないだろうか？



1) I have used a technique of Copying Display Screen, and by making use of PAINT Software of Windows XP, I pasted my screen picture onto a new　picture of PAINT.
2） I cut out a necessary parts of the texture and created a new file named INDEX.
3）I　saved this file in My documents　and then I opened this file by making use of my favorite picture drawing software called "Oekaki".
4) I modified and resized this file into a 1024 x 1024 dimension　texture.
5）I pasted into 9 frames my pictures　of　sale items which are reduced to 280 x 280 dimension.
6）I　gave an　appropriate name to this file, and then uploaded this file to Secondlife.
7)I dagged and dropped this file into the Contents of my Multi-Vendor.
8)I filled in the item list, namely item names, explanations, and prices.

All this and that proved to be the end of what I was supposed to do, but let me say this; Isn't it rude and too labor-saving to say " Download this file into your personal computer"? It takes this much time and labor to explain all this job and then you can make this job clear and easy to understand, and then, only then you can say your manual is user-friendly. In my own case, I had some good friends who are very good at computer technical know-hows, and all of them were kind and generous enough to teach me how to do this complicated job, but if you don't have such　friends, you cannot make head or tail of it. Anyway on my part I bought all the similar kinds of multi-vendors, and carefully studied all the details of such vendors. None of such creators described how to deal with texture　modifications. Thanks to my good friends' advice and hints, I was able to overcome this difficulty but what will through-and-through amateurs do without any good friends with computer proficiency?


少ないプリム数で、多くの商品を扱えるMULTI-VENDARは確かに便利だけれど、すごくむずかしいことをはじめて知ったような次第です。
As you can sell a　multiple of items by making use of this kind of multi-vendor made up of one prim, it is very useful indeed, but when it comes to utilizing this kind of device, I have realized it is so complicated and difficult a job as I have used one for the first time in my life!

Hi How are you getting along these hot summer days?
Today I have tried a couple of experiments as regards how you look different by making use of a combination of　different shapes and skins, and how you can make yourself look different:

1) Ｍｙ first experiment is this;

Shape= Litao Shape released recently by DrLife Nipponbashi.
Skin=DrLife Silk Qiao-Tan( one Make-up)
Hair=DrLife Healthy Hair Ajiao(All Colors)
Dress=GL Creations Pretty Woman1

In the first picture I have used a Cleavage Enchancer,　and as a result the appearance of my breasts makes them so　huge and totally sexually provoking, and in the second picture I am not using it, so my breasts look more natural.
All in all, this combination of the skin, the shape, and the hair is acceptable and will be pleasing to your eyes!　I am sure you will be attractive to everyone around you!

２）Ｍｙ Second experiment is this;

Shape= Haiyan Shape
Skin= DrLife Skin Silkgirl YiSoft wTan (one Make-up)
Hair= DrLife Healthy Hair Monika
Dress=Jinkies! Sizzle Bikini in Pink

This time I have tried another shape、skin, and hair, and in this and in my third experiment you will get another kind　of　impression as far as one glance impression is concerned.　Personally I like this kind of look myself because face-look and hair- look are sort of young and vigorous, and this appearance is of my type!








３）My Third and Last experiment today is this;

Shape= Litao Shape
Skin= DrLife Silk Skin　YiSoft wTan (one Make-up)
Hair= DrLife Healthy Hair Monika（All Colors)
Dress=DrLife　Mei Clothes

In my last experiment I have put on Mei Clothes created by DrLife, and as you know well Mei in Chinese means　"Ume" in Japanese, and "mei" is the symbol of China, just as Cherry blossoms are the symbol of Japan.

This combination makes your appearance quite different from the ones you find above. I personally like this kind of　quiet and adult-like look of woman, but this may look a little older than the above two girls.







I am going to experiment with another shapes, skins and hair styles, but it may take time, so my reports on those　other skins and hair selections will come somewhat later this month. Bye bye for now!Thanks a million for your patience and interest in reading my English presentation today!

Hi　How are you getting along these burning hot summer days?
I hope all of you will push on and endure these hard-to-survive days....




When it comes to describing various matters concerning DrLife skins and hair items for sale,I came across various problems about how to express some of the things that are tough and hard to put into English.

One thing is this; HAIR
You can count each hair and you can say < She has many grey hairs. or he has few grey hairs.
But when you speak of DrLife's hair and its various styles, they are not Hairs but they are hair styles,
I remember just one incident I had when I was a high school girl of 17 and went to Tokyo to meet an American girl called Shirly with whom I was corresponding when her Dad was a soldier stationed on the Island of Okinawa.
She looked at me and said that I looked different from myself in the picture that I had sent to her before.
Then I mistakenly used an expression that I had changed my hair! (Laugh!), and later I considered that I　should have said like” I had changed my hair style!
To me it seems that DrLife sells various styles of hair, but not various hairs.

Another thing I have noticed in the advertisement board of somebody is that her English expression is somewhat strange and weird.　She says that if you would like to buy more other hairs, could you teleport to DrLife xxx HAIRS in using our teleporters?
These expressions are so strange. If I were she, I would certainly say this way.
If you would like to buy any other hair items, would you please teleport to DrLife XX Hair　Shop by using our teleporters?
Or you can say If you would like to buy some other sorts of hair------------
please come to xxxx by this teleporter?

Okay okay! I am too nervous about genuine English or something like that, but some of such
wrong expressions are everywhere in Japanese SL scenes. Look like English but not English at all,but I still wonder why they use English or what they think is English.

Today I am going to introduce to all of you a line-up of Nine pretty Chinese Girl Shapes, all with cutest Chinese girl names for each of them. As you know well, it is customary in China to name yang (=陽） as　yangyang(= 陽陽） when
